The European Union authorized the sale of Xiapex (Clostridium histolyticum collagenase) to Pfizer for the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture in adults with slowly progressive disease that affects the connective tissue and produces flexion of the affected finger towards the palm of your hand. This is the first non-surgical treatment option for this disease, which affects up to 20% of those over 60.
