Paul is a child of 12 years, due to poor management of delivery (or poor health care as we would say today) had birth asphyxia, or lack of oxygen to the brain for a few tragic moments.
Because of this, Paul does not walk, not talk, does not grasp objects with which we would like to play, is not autonomous.
There is much talk of disability, often inappropriately, often tangible, but I think that in both cases, there will be a factor in common:
distrust.
Mistrust does not concern us because (these are always things that happen to others) and especially because it is thought that behind us are persons or organizations that want to take advantage of the good faith of others (As unfortunately happens too often, alas).
So when you come into contact with similar situations, we are moved, but you very quickly forget and we drop our "potential" help in a vacuum.
Today I want to write about him in my blog to promote his cause, because he needs help (any kind of help) in order to undergo a therapy that could give him one, albeit small, hope of improving his physical condition and its quality of life.
And I do with my heart in my hand and with the certainty that the help they need is real and concrete.
And I know, I know for sure ... for very simple reasons:
because I saw a little child watching other children play, and cry and squirm because he wanted to go there with them, and I saw it shortly after quitting because he realized that his body would not let him do the things that were granted to other children his age ... I saw him smile and support her mother when she, in utter despair, he wanted to give up ... I saw the joy on his birthday because he felt the focus of ...... I saw the fear in his eyes, hope, fear, sorrow!
And I know, I know for sure, because Paul is my nephew .
So for once no nickname, no photos cut, but a face and a name:
Paolo Turchi.
Seek on Facebook and on its website (www.paoloturchi.it) ask for his friendship and above all share, share, share ... facebook, blogs, among close friends and less expensive.
Paul needs your friendship.
I am the aunt of Diana Sebastian
